Redefining + Refining
I absolutely enjoy writing pieces like this because I can hold myself accountable for everything I am about to say. A new year, like a new day, brings new perspectives and a fresh look on life.
In past years, I set too many goals without deadlines. I wanted to do them all, but that never happened. 2019, I’m ready for BIG changes – I definitely mean it. If you read my previous posts, then you know I have been slacking off more than usual and that is not me. I’m changing how I set up my goals after practicing this new method.
I want to redefine and refine who I am, who I am becoming, and hone into my purpose. With these goals, I am sure that I will do everything possible.
Here’s to doing more and being more in 2019. Read some of my goals and living affirmations.
Top 4 Goals for 2019
I’m setting four main goals for 2019: continue to branch up, travel more, stay out of my own way, and intentionalism.
Branch Out
Growing into true adulthood comes true responsibilities. I am finally at a point where I can take it on without worry or doubts. This year, I will be able to move into my own place (a decor blog is soon coming) and get a newer car. Both come with true responsibility and discipline. It will also require a different focus from me.
Travel More
This one is a constant goal. 2017 was a year full of trips. I only vacationed as 2018 was “my rest and get my life back together” year. In 2019, I am ready to get out, travel more, explore new areas, and have great adventures.
Staying out of my own way
I have the tendency to always get in my own way. Doubts, overthinking, and not feeling ready are leaving for the new year and beyond. I’ve grown in ways I still have a hard time grasping. With more reflection, I’m confident about the woman I’m becoming for the next stage of my life.
Intentionalism
Last, but not least, I’m practicing now and will continue on in 2019 to stop waiting for others and do what I want. I’m incorporating more moxie, extra streams of income while becoming a better friend, sister, and daughter. It’s the internal work that never stops, and it takes the right mindset to remain intentional.
Wrap-Up Notes
Goals are constant and roll over when they’re not accomplished. Setting goals in bite-size chunks allow you to work effectively without feeling frustrated or defeated. Do you have any special planning methods when preparing for a new year? Comment below.
