Just Leap
2017 clearly has been a test to prove my strength, discipline, and purpose in life. Though I wasn’t prepared, I
It came to a point where enough is enough. I was stuck (felt compelled to be stuck) at the job I didn’t hate but didn’t fulfill me. Drained, annoyed, and irritated were my everyday attitudes. Sudden changes left me frustrated. Expressing my opinions did not help or change anything. One part of me wanted to stay, figure it out, and just deal with it. The other part said life’s too short, leave, and find something you love.
What Did I Do?
So I leaped and put in my two weeks notice – I did it on faith without a permanent gig set up. I was waiting to hear back from previous job applications and an internship position I interviewed for. I need to find what motivates me, and not just because I received a paycheck every two weeks. Yes, I was scared; I love planning everything I could out, but I couldn’t plan exactly when another job would come. I also heard a lot of talk from others, who said: “they couldn’t just leave without a backup plan.” I totally agreed at first, but God didn’t give us the spirit of fear, but of peace and a sound mind. With His guidance and the work I’m going to put in, I’m comfortable with my decision.
One week after resigning, I was offered a marketing internship position, which is in line with what I studied in undergrad. THIS is why I leaped to gain new opportunities and possibilities to grow personally and professionally.
It’s only been a week since I left. I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions ever. My internship starts this week. I’m happy and excited about the work to come. I have more time now to enjoy life, write, blog, and figure out my next move without pressure to make it.

I love this story. God will always provide the provision for the vision when you decide to take a leap of faith. It may be scary in the beginning but once you experience His faithfulness there is no turning back!
