This past weekend, my friend Erikka + I hosted our first Creative Den event together. After planning, postponing, then finally executing, I'm so happy and proud of what we were able to accomplish with six other amazing women who believed in us with catapulting their businesses further.

The Creative Den focuses on building our own business! As bloggers + entrepreneurs whether full- or part-time, there are sometimes other parts of our lives, like full-time employment, kids, and just life, that we may focus on more; yet that's time spent away from working on, continually building, and keeping our business affairs in order.
So that's exactly what we did! We created a safe space where creative girl bosses could learn about themselves, others, get business ideas and implement them while indulging in wine, snacks, and enjoy others' company.
This idea came about because 1. we were dying to host an event together, and 2. because we know sometimes there is a lack of support and self-motivation when you are discouraged or tired from other commitments. This overnight event wanted to break that idea of not being motivated and use it as a solid block of hours to accomplish something, even if it was catching up on your email inbox, email marketing, or any other tasks.
The best part about the event was being able to go around the room, share our goals, and have real, genuine conversations where we empowered and spoke our truth to help the next woman excel in her business dreams and growth. We couldn't have asked for a better group of women, or for the input given. You could feel how much everyone was rooting for each other.
Our sponsored gift bags were amazing and included products and coupons from local Detroit brands + businesses, such as Bee's Beauty Bar & Spa, Front & Scenter, Tealing & Co., High Apothecari, and Serenity Cuisine.
I'm ecstatic about the outcome and ready to see how the event will progress. If you are in the Detroit area, the dates for the next Creative Den will be released soon - I will post them on my social media accounts, which are listed to the right! Let me know if you would like to be a part of the next sessions.
